Good to see you up and running!! My daughter has transferred from Yavapai to Scottsdale and they have a new coaching staff. Any help you could give them would be appreciated as I do believe they will struggle this year but really like the coaches. You have Show Low pretty high in preseason rankings you know we lost 6 starters!!

Show Low is a program that is based in solid coaching and fundamental concepts...they reload no matter how many starters they lose. Unless there are less than 9 girls in school you guys will find a way to be successful. Time has proven that.
Intersting about Scottsdale. I hope everything is going well for your daughter. Though that Artichoke mascot takes a bit getting used to! -lol- She will do very well I am sure. She is a quality player and person. Cream rises to the top.

Bcat, its nice to see your rankings again. That means the best time of year is upon us! Just to let you know Joe City has a completely new coaching staff headed up by John Bryant. Looks to be an exciting year. Also do you know anyone needing more games? We could use a couple more. Thanks.

Wow. Teddi is not coaching this year? And John Bryant is taking over? That is interesting news for sure.

Now this is interesting to say the least!!! As soon as I think I figured coach out he pulls a few pre-season teams out of his hat.

I have not posted my non-important rankings that really are just for fun yet but just a few things I will be having:

In 1A I have St. Augustine at #1 this season. I am looking at what was lost and what happened at the game last year which a victory had a lot to do with the Coaches Magic. Now I know Bryant is a great football coach but softball is a little different and it does not mean he can match with the former coach. Really who can so I can see that coming into play in some close games. Plus this will make for some good conversation. Where will you hear that hiring brought a team to #2 hahahaha. I did talk with a JC fan and got the scoop on why Teddi is not coaching and that is sad to hear.

OK coach what do you know from the Gila bend sources to keep them at such a high ranking and even in the top 10 after losing their top player and pitcher and hitter. I am figuring maybe the Wirtzberger girls may play but it is about pitching and I was not able to see a replacement from last year. Their top returner is an infielder but not sure if she pitches. I know you know something.

Just a note for those who follow 1A: Remember that they will use powerpoints to choose their top 4 teams who go to state from the south. So there is no doubt GBend has a chance to get in because of that side of the league.

Bagdad beat Gila Bend in the Gila Bend Tournament this past weekend. Bagdad also went on to win the tournament for 2010 beating San Tan Foothills,Gila Bend, Williams, Ajo, Tonopah Valley twice, Boboqivere, and Williams in the championship game. I think Bagdad needs to be moved up in the rankings.

A team playing much better this season is Tanque verde.

They beat VU this season and did a great job at the
St. Augustine tourney this last weekend. Good to see
that program on the rise.

We covered the St. Augustine vs St. David game and the Wolves had an 11-1 lead going into the top of the 5th before the Tigers rallied because of 2 straight errors by St. Augustine.

Bagdad beat Orme yesterday (04/15) 12-1, and 13-1 both in 5 innings. Great pitcher from Orme, but Bagdad pounded the ball.

Great win coach for the west title. Are they having any regional tournaments for baseball and softball?
